Organizing Your Life and Being Productive

organizing-your-life.jpg

It can be hard, life can be hard but keeping yourself organized can make everything so much easier! Before I organized my life I was a mess. I was always running late, forgetting things and losing almost everything that I own especially my keys.

ADOPT A HEALTHY SLEEP SCHEDULE

I have struggled with getting proper sleep for the past few months, and it's finally catching up with me. Lack of sleep can cause tiredness, headaches, inability to focus and health problems. Getting at least 8 hours of sleep each night is important for your physical and mental health. If you have trouble going to sleep early, start small. Turn off your electronics an hour before you go to bed, drink a hot cup of caffeine free tea and read a book. If you find yourself tossing and turning try sleeping on your right side. Studies have shown that this can help you fall asleep faster. If your room is too bright buy a sleep mask to block out the light.

BUY A PLANNER

Having a planner is important when it comes to organization and keeping your life balanced. I use a planner and Google calendar which I  have on my laptop and my phone. I keep track of everything from doctor appointments, events, dates with my SO and days that I blog. I also use a color-coded system to keep everything more organized. The colors help my eyes catch the different tasks that I have instead of putting them all together under one category.

KEEP A PRAYER JOURNAL

I have always kept a journal but just recently I purchased my first prayer journal. This prayer journal is beautiful and inspirational with the perfect amount of pages. It allows me to write down my prayers so that eventually I can reflect and see just how God answered them. I purchased this prayer journal and this beautiful illustrated bible and I couldn't be happier.

KEEP YOUR FINANCES IN CHECK

This one is a bit tricky but ever since I started using 4 bank accounts it has been a breeze! Make sure you balance your check book, check your balance weekly and keep track of what you're spending your money on.
